Videos I have on VHS Video Or DVD- Here is the list:
1973 Triple Crown-On Video or DVD. Includes the Derby,Preakness &
Belmont-The Derby includes a very rarely seen 50 minute original
entire pre & post race Derby with CBS network coverage with Jack
Whitaker,Haywood Hale Bruan & Frank Wright.There is wonderful and
close up incredible paddock coverage as the 1973 derby field is
getting saddled in the paddock.There are interviews with owners and
trainers and great close up shots of the field in the paddock and on
the track prior to the race and after the race.Chick Anderson who
calls the race runs down the entire derby field with stats and info
on each horse.Then the horses parade onto churchill to the classic
derby song "My Old Kentucky Home" and then the post parade
introductions.Then of course the big race and then incredible post
race coverage following the derby which includes Secretariat in the
winners circle,race replays, interviews,official prices and the
ceremony.The picture quality on the Kentucky Derby coverage is very
good.
The Preakness Stakes again on Video or DVD is also is a rarely seen
50 minute original entire pre & post race CBS network coverage again
with Jack Whitaker,Heywood Hale Bruan & Frank Wright.There are
interviews with owners and trainers of each horse as they are
saddled in the outdoor paddock at Pimlico and wonderful close ups of
the entire preakness field.Again Chic Anderson runs down each horse
with stats and info.Then the post parade to the song "Maryland My
Maryland" and of course the incredible Preakness Stakes and again
wonderful post race coverage with Secretariat in the winners
circle,interviews,race replays,official prices and the ceremony.The
picture quality on the Preakness Stakes coverage is very good.
Then to top it all off,on either Video or DVD is a rarely seen 50
minutes of a tremendous Belmont Stakes with original entire pre and
post race CBS network coverage on Secretariats incredible Belmont
Stakes win again with Jack Whitaker,Haywood Hale Bruan & Frank
Wright.As in the Derby & Preakness there are interviews and Chic
Anderson goes over the entire field with info and stats.Really
incredible close up shots of Big Red and the Belmont field as they
are being saddled, then the post parade to the song "Sidewalks of
New York" and then the great historic race and then all the post
race mania with Secretariat in the winners circle, interviews,race
replays,official prices and of course the wonderful triple crown
ceremony.The song "New York,New York" currently plays during the
post parade for the Belmont Stakes.The picture quality is good to
very good for the Belmont Stakes coverage.
It came out in 2003 and is an awesome 2 hour life story with a retrospective of the Life and Racing Career of Secretariat and his conections.It also has 18 of Secretariats 21 Career races from start to finish with the original track announcer calling each race.Outstanding picture quality.It also has a segment on his last race in Canada.Its a must have video/dvd.
I also have the complete 30 minute ABC Network Coverage on the 1973 Arlington Inv.on Video or DVD with Secretariat.Its an awesome video/dvd with original network coverage from ABC.It covers the pre and post race hoopla of the big race and has outstanding shots of Big Red and his competition and his connections and it is in color and it is outstanding in picture quality.
I have a 30 minute documentry Video/DVD called Big Reds Last Race-from Woodbine in Canada-It is a great piece about Secretariats last race on the grass in Canada,complete with interviews with his connections and fans.It also has his workouts leading to the race and of course his last race.Picture quality is very good.
I have the one hour ESPN Classic 2001 Sports Century Series special called "Sports Century"-Secretariat-On Video or DVD its a wonderful one hour life story on Secretariat from birth all the way up until his 1989 death.It is full of great footage of his races,great close ups on Big Red and interviews from his conections and racing experts who followed and covered Secretariat in the press/media.Its a great retrospective of his life.Excellent in picture quality.
Then i have an 30 minute ESPN Video/DVD Called "Secretariat" # 35 of the 50 greatest-athletes.It has race footage and chronicles his career.-Excellent in picture quality.
I also have a 30 minute ESPN Classic Video/DVD called "Run for the Crown-1973" -It is all about the 1973 Triple Crown with Secretariat.-Excellent in picture quality.
I also have a 30 minute Video/DVD called- GSL -Greatest Sports Legends-"Secretariat"-It has race footage and also talks about his career with interviews.Very good in picture quality.

I also have the 45 minute Video/DVD called "The Life and Times of Secretariat".This video came out in 1989 and is a wonderful retrospective of the Life and Racing Career of Secretariat and his conections.Excellent in picture quality.
Then finally i have a great 45 minute audio cassette tape that has the original live race call of every race Secretariat ran in his career.It features Dave Johnson,Chic Anderson and other great track announcers.These are the original calls from his races from start to finish.Wonderful to go back in time listening to the calls.Sound quality is excellent.Former CBS Horse Race expert Wyn Elliot narrates this great piece.
Again all the Secretariat Videos/DVDs range from good to very good to excellent quality in picture,sound & color.

Silky Sullivan
I have a nice 10 minute segment on Video or DVD on Silky Sullivan that shows the famous 6 1/2 furlong Santa Anita race and also talks about the great horse- it is a two part video- one part narrated by the late track announcer Todd Creed from Golden Gate Fields that shows great close up shots of Silky after his racing days in a field with his trainer.It also shows the Santa Anita race and talks about Silky.Then the other part is narrated by someone from Southern Calif. and talks about Silkys career and also shows the Santa Anita race with the actual track announcer calling the race.It also talks about the 1958 Kentucky Derby he ran in.Then it also talks about and shows Silky parading near the grandstand every St. Patricks Day at Santa Anita.He also paraded on St. Patricks Day at Golden Gate Fields.It is a very nice video and shows wonderful close ups of Silky Sullivan and his rider Willie Shoemaker. Cost on the Silky Sullivan video is $35 and that includes S&H-If you order this video i will add a 30 minute bonus video to the Silky tape since the Silky video is so short-The footage on this silky video is the only known footage that i have ever seen on Silky Sullivan.I also have lots of other great horses and big stakes races from past and present on vhs video including all the Triple Crowns and Breeders Cup races with network coverage and can email out a few lists if your interested.Feel free to email me for horse race video lists or questions.

I have a nice video piece on Swaps-Either on Video or DVD from Hollywood Park- and another segment from a video/dvd called Thoroughbred Hero's and yet another video/dvd called "The Way It Was" and that is about a 10 minute segment with Eddie Arcaro and Willie Shoemaker with Curt Gowdy talking all about the Swaps-Nashua rivalry with great footage and they also talk about the 1955 Kentucky Derby and there is great footage of the Derby as well. its really wonderful- the other two segments are about 10 minutes total for both- so i have about 20 minutes of Swaps- the hollywood park piece shows his Gold Cup win and also the Statue unveiling and the Thoroughbred Hero's shows some of his races and talks about his connections and about Swaps and his career.I also have lots of other great horses and big races including all the Triple Crowns and Breeders Cups from past and present with network coverage on Video/DVD.For Video/DVD list email me.
