In August 2005, Martha received the Golden Boot Award, for her Lifetime Achievement in film & TV Westerns, one of 3  stuntwomen to be so honored.

In 2004 I was inducted into the Stuntmen’s Hall of Fame and on August 13, 2005 I was an honoree for the Motion Picture TV’s Golden Boot Award, presented to me by film legend Jean Simmons. The affair was held in the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills: included for Boots also, were Debbie Reynolds, Mark Harmon, James Caan and Wilford Brimley.  

 
The Golden Boot Award is a way to recognize those whose achievements had significant involvement in the Golden Era of Film and TV Westerns.  My award was for stunt work with horses doubling the glamorous leading ladies i.e. Eleanor Parker in MGM’s Academy acclaimed Interrupted Melody,  Rhonda Fleming, Shirley MacLaine,  Jean Simmons, Carol Baker,  Linda Darnell, Claudette Colbert, etc. etc.
